2009 BRITISH GAS GRAND PRIX: day three report

Another great day for Vulcans - Hayley Williams swam in the 50 backstroke and took 12-hundredths off her entry time to set a new PB of 30.60 narrowly missing a place in the B final tonight.

Sophie Allen attacked the 100 fly to pull out a new personal best time in the heat, improving from 1.02.66 to 1.02.58 and taking a place in the B final.

In the B final Sophie once more rose to the occasion and took nearly a second off her new pb to finish in 3rd position with 1.01.71.
